TWENTY YEARS OF FMK – FOR FUTURE
On the occasion of celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TUB in Zlín prepared an exhibition presenting the most significant creative outputs, experiments and successes in the field of art and creative industries that have emerged from the studios of the Faculty of Arts over the past two decades.
On the occasion of celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TUB in Zlín prepared an exhibition presenting the most significant creative outputs, experiments and successes in the field of art and creative industries that have emerged from the studios of the Faculty of Arts over the past two decades.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on September 20, 2022:
from 5 p.m. in the G18 gallery
from 6 pm in the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín
from 9 p.m. videomapping on the 14|15 BAŤ INSTITUTE platform, prepared by students of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TUB in Zlín
On an imaginary table laid in the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín, the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TUB in Zlín presents THE BEST OF – works by graduates from thirteen studios, which show both the unique journeys of individuals and the surprising intersections of their work. “The retrospective part of the exhibition entitled THE BEST OF shows the diversity of the faces of the individual studios of the Zlín Faculty. The creative undergrowth cultivated on the grounds of our school also includes the character of the individual exhibits, ranging from objects that could without much difficulty be modified for mass production to conceptually felt experiments that go beyond the scope of the words design or applied art,” comments the curator of the regional gallery Vit Jakubicek.
The second part of the exhibition is prepared in the university gallery G18. The exhibition FOR FUTURE, with the curatorial supervision of Helena Maňasová Hradská, presents a view into the future, viewed through recent faculty projects and themes. “Together with the heads of our studios, we selected works from the faculty workshop that attempt to respond to the expected needs of future communities and thus indicate visions of profiling creative fields. We thus come across topics such as re-evaluating the organization of the design process, researching materials in the context of the circular economy, or transferring human creativity into the virtual space as part of digitization,” explains Helena Maňasová Hradská.
Part of the accompanying program of the exhibition itself will be a guided tour of both parts of the exhibition on October 13, 2022, and a film screening of student films from the Audiovisual Studio, which the faculty and the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín are preparing for Friday, November 11, 2022.

A guided tour of both parts of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2022, starting at 5 p.m. in the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín (Vavrečkova 7040, Zlín), after which we will move to gallery G18.
