Researcher’s Night 2024

This year too, we will not miss a night full of science, this time on the topic of transformation. The Researcher’s Night 2024 takes place on Friday, September 27, in Zlín specifically at four locations. In addition to the Faculty of Technology U15 (building by the bus station), it will also be possible to visit the building of the TBU Rectorate U13 (opposite the Congress Center), the creative workshop Robota (building 44 in the Svit area) and our G18 gallery in the building of the Faculty of Humanities (at the Školní bus stop).

DESIGN x HOBBY x WASTE – transformation of advertising banners into design accessories in the G18 gallery
Advertising banners are widely used material, which in most cases, after completing their task, are headed for a landfill or an incinerator. Thanks to the current DESIGN x HOBBY exhibition and a creative workshop with a lecturer in the G18 gallery, you will get a glimpse into the world of upcycling, recycling, hobby and DIY production. Come take old banners and turn someone’s trash into designer accessories – fanny packs, crossbody bags, wallets and much more. It will be open from 4 PM to 9:30 PM, entrance is free.
