Hobby market and DIY. The academic year 2024/2025 will be opened by the international traveling exhibition DESIGN x HOBBY, which presents the results of the efforts of the design students of three universities to raise the quality of DIY production to a new level. The DESIGN x HOBBY project will present the projects of young designers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, who respond to the challenges of DIY design and present possible solutions through accessible, but at the same time functionally and aesthetically attractive designs.
The opening will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 6 PM with an opening speech by curator Vít Jakubíček and curator Elena Farkašová.
27. 9. 2024 Researcher’s Night
This year too, we will not miss a night full of science, this time on the topic of transformation. The Researcher’s Night 2024 takes place on Friday, September 27, in Zlín specifically at four locations. In addition to the Faculty of Technology U15 (building by the bus station), it will also be possible to visit the building of the TBU Rectorate U13 (opposite the Congress Center), the creative workshop Robota (building 44 in the Svit area) and our G18 gallery in the building of the Faculty of Humanities (at the Školní bus stop).
We are preparing a creative program for you, which will be part of the newly opened DESIGN x HOBBY exhibition. Creative workshops focused on upcycling old banners will be available from 6 to 10 PM.
