December 11, 2025 – February 25, 2026 | New Situation Exhibition
The New Situation exhibition will present the work of a total of twenty-two artists from the Department of Media Art at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. In their works, they focus on the critical moments where humans and their emotions clash with the unstoppable influence of the digital age. The New Situation thus refers to today’s era of rapid change, which is in full swing and from which none of us can escape.
December 2 | 5 p.m. | Board games with Q Prostor Zlín
In December, we will have the last board game session of the year. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of board games to choose from – from Dixit, UNO, and Monopoly to Codenames! However, we would be happy to play your favorites that we don’t have in our gallery. We look forward to seeing you on December 2 at 5 p.m.!
December 3 | 5 p.m. | Museums without Barriers
On Wednesday, December 3, our gallery will host a lecture entitled Museums Without Barriers. This follows up on a conference held in September, which presented the results of a project implemented within the TAČR framework, focusing on opening museums and galleries to people with neurodivergent disorders such as dyslexia, ADHD, and autism.
So how can museums and other institutions be transformed into inclusive environments without barriers? Project leader Eva Vázalová Gartnerová, inclusion expert Mariana Chytilová, and project producer Jana Ovčáčková will discuss new perspectives on inclusion and accessible design in museums, present the main focus of the project, and discuss next steps and the practical application of the results obtained. The discussion will provide an opportunity to share experiences and ideas on how cultural institutions can truly open their doors to all groups of visitors without distinction.
December 4 | 4–8 p.m. | FMK Christmas Market
Christmas is just around the corner! And our gallery will open its doors for the FMK Christmas Market. Whether you are looking for last-minute gifts, want to support local artists, or simply want to get into the Christmas spirit, you can visit us on Thursday, December 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
You can buy works by our students and FMK employees to put under the tree, including posters, jewelry, photographs, clothing, and other design accessories!
December 10 | 6 p.m. | Opening and guided tour of the New Situation exhibition
We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition New Situation, which will present the work of a total of twenty-two artists from the Department of Media Art at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
The opening will be followed by a guided tour in English with the exhibition curators.
