3. 12. | 7 PM Theatre performance Zlomatka
The theater group ČAPEK from Uherské Hradiště will present a tragicomedy about the prejudices of ordinary people. Coming out of a son, whose mother undertakes an incredible therapy, the end of which should be the recovery of her son from homosexuality. The bigoted mother is shocked by her son’s admission of “illness”. She decides to confine him in her apartment and treat him. Although the whole play is primarily a comedy, the misunderstanding between mother and son leads to a chilling conclusion. The performance is in Czech only, the entrance fee is 100 CZK, you can book your place by e-mail qprostorzlin@gmail.com.
11. 12. | 6 PM Exhibition opening mAI type
12. 12. 2024 – 27. 2. 2025 Exhibition mAI type
G18 Gallery opens a new exhibition called mAI type presenting the output of students of the Graphic Design Studio of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications TBU in Zlín. Under the expert guidance of Lenka Baroňová and Jakub Hrdina, they have explored new possibilities of working with type, in which traditional hand techniques are intertwined with digital tools and strong generative artificial intelligence. In addition, the students’ work will be enriched by works of contemporary AI artists from different parts of the world, as well as a thematic accompanying programme in the form of calligraphy workshops and workshops focused on generative AI. Keep an eye on G18 Gallery’s social media channels and the g18.cz website for specific dates. The exhibition is English friendly.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday 11 December 2024 at 6 PM, with an opening speech by curator Helena Maňasová Hradská together with the exhibition’s author Lenka Baroňová and Jakub Hrdina.

Once again, after a year, we have here… the Christmas market. Whether you are looking for the last presents or just want to support the work of our students, the traditional FMC market is worth a visit. Here you will find the work of students and staff of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications – unique prints, cards, candles, glass and clothing all under one roof!
Christmas opening hours
You can visit the mAI type exhibition during normal opening hours until 19 December 2024. During the Christmas holidays, the gallery doors will remain closed, but we will be happy to welcome you again next year, from 6 January 2025 during opening hours – Monday–Thursday, 1–6 PM.
