The International Biennial in Rzeszów is one of the most prestigious competitive poster shows. It was established in 1985 to continue and develop the tradition and phenomenon of Polish poster art. Its sixteenth edition featured hundreds of theatrical posters from all over the world created in 2015-2018.
The Rzeszów Biennial is proof that the theatre poster has an ageless value and that even in today’s age, which places great emphasis on digital technologies, this classic medium has an exceptional position in the field of graphic design. The poster is a phenomenon that, through its specific characteristics, can push the boundaries of visual culture and create new ways of visual communication.
The exhibition will run until 28 February 2019 and will be accompanied by guided tours and other interesting activities.
